Another sweet snack that’s low in sugar (completely refined-sugar-free, obvs) and bursting with flavor and texture.
makes 1 banana
1 medium banana, peeled
2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate (100% cacao)
1 Tbsp maple syrup
toppings: sesame seeds, unsweetened shredded coconut, goji berries, pistachios
- Place banana on a parchment lined large plate and set aside (read: the below can get messy, so the parchment is there to prevent melted chocolate from sticking to your surfaces).
- In a thick saucepan or double broiler melt the chocolate over very low heat. Once melted, remove from heat, add maple syrup and stir until well combined.
- Carefully pour melted chocolate mixture over banana, using a spoon to smooth the edges.
- Sprinkle desired toppings on top.
- Place in frige to cool.
- Enjoy when desired!
